We live in a generation that needs a return to the old paths. Preaching has a purpose:

1. 1.Preaching is to bring the lost to salvation.
   

2. 2.Preaching is to confront sin.
   

3. 3.Preaching is to set in order the things that are wanting in the church.
   

4. 4.Preaching is to exalt the Lord Jesus Christ.
   

1 Corinthians 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

1 Corinthians 1:21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
