2018 Missions Trip

2018 Papua New Guinea & Australia Missions Trip

by Dr. Doug Brandenburg

Opportunity

I would like to tell you about an exciting ministry opportunity that I have for this summer (2018.) I will be headed to Papua New Guinea & Australia in June & July 2018 for several weeks of preaching and teaching.

The trip will begin in Brisbane Australia where I will be preaching for Pastor Nathan Lloyd at Good Shepherd Baptist Church. I then will travel to Papua New Guinea to preach at the Youth Quest in Port Moresby where 300 teenagers are expected from many churches across PNG. The meeting is hosted by Pastor Tau Abary and Boroka Baptist Church. I will be preaching with veteran missionary Jason Russell. Following the conference I will be speaking in 2 churches in the Port Moresby (for Pastor Tau Abary & Pastor Paul Lahari) and then travel to the Island of Daru with Brother Russell to preach a revival meeting at Daru Baptist Church and to teach in the Bible School. Following the meetings there, Brother Russell and I will travel to Kalgoorlie in Western Australia to be with Pastor Dala Momo to preach a revival meeting and teach in the Bible Institute.

Purpose

  • Preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ
  • See people saved, baptized and added to the church
  • Teenagers challenged to dedicate their lives to the Lord
  • Church members brought to a point of repentance and consecration
  • Provide materials for the men studying to be in the ministry.
(I will be taking large print reference Bibles, Concordances, and Bible handbooks to give to the preachers. We will also spend time teaching them how to use the study materials. This will enable the men to have a deeper knowledge of the Word of God and be able to equip the Believers in their ministry to serve the Lord.)

Prayer Requests

  • Safety in travel
  • Wisdom in messages for the youth conference and revival meetings.
  • Wisdom in preparing the lessons for the Bible school (institute)
  • Power of God upon the meetings and preaching
  • Revival among the teenagers
  • Revival among the church members
