He answers himself!

Dr. Brandenburg learned ventriloquism as a young boy from his father, Evangelist Carl Brandenburg, who was an accomplished ventriloquist and magician. At the age of 12 he received his first “professional” vent figure, “Woody,” who was built by Clinton Detweiler from the The Maher Studios of Ventriloquism. Woody has been a regular part of Dr. Brandenburg’s ministry and has is know to show up at Vacation Bible Schools, Children’s Church, Youth Rallies, and just about any were people gather. He is a happy “church kid” who loves to sing and talk about the Bible.

Recently, there have been several additions to the fun. Oscar arrived in October of 2025. Oscar is a fun loving boy who loves to come to church! In the videos below you will see him learning about missions.

In December of 2025, “Theo the Theologian” arrived. He is a very special figure, made by master puppet builder, Austin Phillips, of Phillips Puppets. He is a one of a kind figure and his character is that of a young “preacher-boy” learning about the ministry. He is a bit of a “know-it-all",” but helps to teach young people and young preachers about the ministry.

These figures, or puppets, (please don’t say “dummies), are a tremendous tool in teaching children and adults alike the truths from the Word of God.
